The attack of a pitt bull on a 11-year-old occurred outside Fairmoor Elementary School, and was caught on a cell phone camera.
"We were riding past and we saw the dog wrestling, ripping his clothes off of him, biting him," said a witness.
The witness, 16, and his friends did what they could to save the 11-year-old boy who was being mauled by a pit bull.
"I pulled my car up on the yard and tried to hit the dog and got it away from the little boy and that's how the little boy got away," the witness said.
Officials said the boy had been taking a family friendís dog for a walk when it turned on him.
According to Ohio law, anyone with a pit bull must have the proper leash and be the right size to walk such an animal.
"An 11-year-old who doesn't know the dog does not fit that description," said Cpl. Joe Rock, of Franklin County Animal Care and Control.
Now, the dog's owner could face charges, and the animal was seized by animal control officers.
