This video is for a new survival course for infants and toddlers from YMCA. These courses have saved babies from drowning all over Florida. Every infant should take a course like this, especially if you have a pool.

The part where the baby was trying to roate and flip over made me panic. I am so scared because my 20 month old son has no fear of water, pools, ocean, etc. Great post but it still scared me to see the baby just floating there crying.

So did they give up on the "Aqua Babies" program that they have been doing SINCE 1983? In that program babies of that age could swim somewhat and could hold their breath underwater in addition to what is shown here. This is not new at all. In fact, it is less than it was, despite what is show here. I used to teach this program for the Y in the summer of 1984. It was national and was covered on 60 Minutes on CBS. I put my kids in a class like this when they were babies. They learned to love the water and they still do this.

wow! that is brillant. scary at first, but the outcome could've be worse without this training. I haven't seen this before. I think this lesson should taught everywhere! I hope that the word spreads and this training can be offered in all states.
