Pakistan women cricket team first recorded an impressive eight-wicket
win over their Irish counterparts and then brushed aside Bangladesh
women team on the same day at Castle Avenue Cricket Club Ground in
Dublin on August 29 to clinch Ireland Tri-Nation Women’s T20 Series.
the second match of the day, Pakistan restricted Bangladesh to a modest
total of 96-6 in 20 overs. Skipper Salma Khatun top scored for
Bangladesh with 23 runs. But Pakistan’s captain Sana Mir outshined her
counterpart with a three-wicket haul for 16 runs and a run-out.
Pakistan reached the target with six wickets in hand in just 16 overs. Nida Dar scored 28. Salma Khatun had figures of 3-11.
Ireland batted first against Pakistan and scored 81-6 in 20 overs.
Skipper Cecelia Joyce batted well and made 29. Sana Mir captured three
wickets, giving away 13 runs.
Pakistan easily achieved
the target in the 16th over with eight wickets in hand. Nida Dar scored
46 runs while Sana Mir played an unbeaten 33-run knock.
