Police in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, are still looking for a young woman who survived an incredibly close call last week on the city's downtown bridge.

The bridge tender put the bridge up for a couple of minutes while a car was still on it. The picture is not a hoax.

Authorities say the bridge tender opened the bridge to almost a 30-degree angle ... with the woman's car still stuck on one of the lifts. Experts say it was a case of human error and that the bridge operator did not see the woman.

Highway Commissioner John Kolodziej said, "She backed up relatively quickly and onto the lift section. She was in a safe area. Then she backed up off of the safe section and onto that left section and then realized where she was, and then stopped."
