In a major broadcasting error, and for nearly 10 seconds Tuesday night, CSN Mid-Atlantic mistakenly aired an X-rated cartoon version of the Chicago Cubs new mascot, Clark the bear.
Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic aired a NSFW version of the cartoon bear on SportsTalk Live, broadcasting a photoshopped version of the cartoon mascot.
In a segment discussing the first mascot in team history — a debut that has not been well-received since Clark was introduced on Monday — the Washington station mistakenly aired a version of the mascot that was, ahem, enhanced, by third parties.
Genitalia was added to the cartoon bear as part of a joke, but somehow made it on to the broadcasters imaging and was inserted into the broadcast in error.
And the commentary did not make it any easier, "He's described as a young, friendly Cub who can't wait to interact with the kids..."
