18 people died and 20 people were treated for burns following a bus fire in Panama. The bus burst into flames following an engine malfunction in the elderly vehicle. As the fire swept through the passenger compartment people moved to the rear of the bus looking for an emergency exit which did not exist. The 20 survivors managed to escape through broken windows. The remaining 18 burned to death.
