Three Palestinians were killed Tuesday in an explosion at a training facility of the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) in the southern Gaza strip, eye witnesses and medical elements reported. Four more people were hurt in what appeared to be a work accident. The IDF Spokesperson's Unit said the army was not operating in the area.
The three casualties were operatives in the PRC's military wing. The group is one of the three organizations that took part in the abduction of Gilad Shalit.
According to the Palestinian news agency Ma'an, PRC spokesman Abu Mujahid confirmed that three of the group's operatives had died and that four others were injured following the blast in the Abu Atiya refugee camp.
