Do You Buy Todd Akin's TV Ad Apology For Rape Comments?

"Late Monday night, after a day in which his comments that "legitimate rape" did not lead to pregnancy caused a political firestorm, Rep. Todd Akin of Missouri released this ad in a bid to save his candidacy bid for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Claire McCaskill. The Republican faces serious pressure from his own party to drop out of the race....".* The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

  • These fucking pseudo-religious turncoat mutherfucking pro-life politicians.

Excuse me while I puke on my shoes.

"By the grace of God..." fuck me! Be aware that 'Inch Allah' translate to "By the grace of God'!

Wake up people! They're as fucking extremist as the mutherfucking, pedo islamists!

    • @echo4250

Meanwhile the democrap McCaskill is still widely disliked and could be crushed by a third party candidate. With the financial mess and crony capitalism social issues may not save the libtards.

It's hard for a young woman to vote on social issues when she can't find a job to pay off here student loans.

A third party candidate would be fine. A rock would be better than that Akin asshole.

    • @picklethepug

the only reason Akin had any support was because McCaskill is that bad.

No, the reason akin has support is a lot of very ignorant people in missouri and elsewhere support his politics and opinions on the issues. You've even spent quite a lot of time defending him on this site.

    • @picklethepug

      I don't defend him.
To me he's a rino piece of shit.

However he would be a lot better for Missouri than McCaskill.

  • I never accept apologies from politicians. They are so arrogant to believe they're intellectually superior to me and I am a totally gullible human. Fuck'em all!

  • This man is an arrogant, bigoted asshole and I wouldn't put him in charge of a shoe.

    Posted Aug-22-2012 By

  • Hell no.
Even after he apologized he said he's not going to change his opinion that all abortion should be illegal. And it's not just him, it's the entire Republican party. The platform they are promoting as a part of their 2012 convention includes a complete ban on abortion. Wake up, America. The GOP is not the party of "freedom and liberty." It's the party of theocracy, ignorance and oppression.

  • How on earth could anybody want this "person" representing them in government?
We have some fuckwits on this side of the pond, but no-one close to this. (I hope)

  • LOL. Akin is GOP. Evil, all of them. The US deserves them. I hope they win.

  • The media is nonstop Akin, yet not a word about the Minn Dem Rep sexing a boy.

    • @joe prole The liberal media including that damn liberal Romney, and the majority of the GOP telling him to drop out?

    • @stevecore

You just proved my point, again.

      Posted Aug-22-2012 By

    • @joe prole I dont know if you are actually suggesting the GOP is liberal or if you are joking. Just because someone is slightly left of you doesn't make them liberal, but it might mean you are a radical.

    • @stevecore that´s the way I should have said it all along. And same goes to the leftists.

Seems to me only the radicals are screaming and shouting and when someone with a brain tries to talk some sense he/she is clusterfucked with screaming and shouting from both radical sides.

      Posted Aug-22-2012 By

  • I believe he's sincere enough but the real question is, will people vote for him? Keep him based on his good record, or should he be martyred for the cause?

Wait a second. Why is this even being discussed? To deflect from any real discussion on issues. Obama's camp says the Republicans are waging war on women and this adds fuel to their fire.

Joe Biden can insult an entire race of American citizens in saying, "they wanna put ya'll back in chains" and the White House basically say More..

  • I hope he stays in the race, keeps talking and is completely humiliated so badly that he will never dare to run for any kind of office for the rest of his miserable little life.

    • @Tongueboy He is still ahead in the polls. Seems the Democratic candidate isn't liked very well.

      Posted Aug-22-2012 By

    • @Tongueboy The funniest part about this is that Romney couldn't even talk him down, which makes him look real bad. This guy really is hoping for another Obama term it seems. Seems the GOP's Frankenstein has gotten out of control and now they are scrambling kill it.

    • @safetychuck2 He dropped 8 points in one day. Give it till the end of the week. Although MO voters did have a dead guy win over someone living in the past, so I wouldn't put it past them if they did vote him in. They aren't too bright.

    • @stevecore Heck...even that Green guy who was unemployed and living with his mother was able to beat a Democrat incumbent. America is cleaning house, and they are voting for anything BUT what they have now.

  • Todd Akin at his best =P

"once it starts raining, a woman´s menstrual cycle is not far behind"

"Lady in a coma? Only a kiss from her true love can make her wake up"

"The only woman who masturbate are lesbians"

    "Pulling out ALWAYS works"

"A doctor told me that boobies only get cancer if they eat cancer"

    "for real, what are women?"

    Posted Aug-22-2012 By

  • Yes, because I don't think he honestly thinks there is a "legitimate rape". IF he was that fucking evil and/or dumb to think that, I honestly don't think he would come to the public with it when he is going for a seat in the Senate.....but who knows, stranger shit has happend I guess...

Don't get me wrong though, I still think he is a moron and pure fucking stupid

    • @Bthor420
The fact that he said that shit in a TV interview (hardly hidden "sting" operation) is proof that he is that dumb. The problem is there are shitloads of Americans (including many who are commenting on this post) that actually think he was right!

    • @picklethepug Not only that, but other conservatives are chiming in on the stupidity! Not sure why they are suggesting the evil "liberal media" is keeping this in the spotlight.
