People protest against police

Hundreds staged protest rally in Lal Chowk today against the police who had lodged an FIR attempt to murder but police has lodged an FIR Drifter Act under sec 109/09 the protesters were raising anti police slogans.
The people of Dalgate staged a protest rally claimed that Mohammad Yousuf son of Ali Mohammad of Moti Mohalla Dalgate who was coming home after returning from hospital at 4pm on July 16 but on the way a drifter namely Ashraf Malla stop and told to company him but Yousuf Refused and the drifter threatened him to shoot him up if he would not obey.
Yousuf told Agence India Press “I got frustrated and start shouting and some locals of the area protected me but Ashraf Malla fled away and I lodged FIR in the Ram Munshi bagh police station against culprit.” He said the person was already involved in different crimes had nearly 18 cases of robbery and harassment in the same station.
The protesters said that Malla’s father was working as SOG cop and when he noticed all this and then he took his son to the police station and influentially compel police to lodge FIR against drifting. Protesters further demanded to lodge FIR under Sec 307, attempt to murder and adding that, if failed we will launch a strong agitation.
