The quality of the video is so damn' poor... I had to puke even before the action. Anyway: Vietnam war had only the result that weapon fabricants had their deadly stuff paid and generals' families now live in damn' big homes. So sad.

@Freakster You'd be lucky to find that kind of unison even within a family. Scale it up and it becomes more and more unlikely. Village. City. Region. Country. Continent. Hemisphere. World. People want different things, so they don't get along. The best thing you can do is limit the reach of everyone, so that fighting does not spread over the entire world. But because it is possible to fight wars overseas, people do it.

No one ever "wins," but we killed the shit out of them 10 to 1. We (the military) didn't leave because we felt like it; we left because the politicians painted themselves into a scenario that they could not unfuck.
Just like Iraq, just like Afghanistan, we could kill every single person in the country 100 times over if that is what we wanted to do.

It's funny how American war propaganda works even too this day, every country does it but American's I have to say have really gotten good at it.
I really like clips like this that have actual soldiers that served in the battles giving interviews about what they were thinking during/after the fights. I think that's what made the TV show Band of Brothers so good in my mind, getting that extra insight helps paint the picture.

The US had maybe 40 special forces guy there, the sva had 600 men, some other generic forces number 2-300.
The NVA attacked with 3 NVA battalions, a couple of sniper companies and a couple of armored battalions.
Even with the supreme advantage in this fight which should not have even been a battle but a massacre, the NVA failed horribly.
The NVA won this, but again it was not even supposed to be a battle, the NVA expected an easy day. Their numbers conclude More..
