A teenager was hit by a stray bullet during a shootout between police and bandits in the night this Wednesday (28), in the Ipiranga neighborhood, located in the South Zone of Sao Paulo.

The boy shot walking down the street at a time when bandits tried to rob - unsuccessfully - an auto parts store with pistols and machine guns. The boy underwent surgery and his health condition is considered serious.
Police say the assailants arrived by car and passed by customers. The employees were taken to the back of the store. A person passing outside suspected the action and called the police. When the first officer went through the front door, was shot in the leg and fell wounded. From there began the first shooting.
The security cameras recorded the moment when the policeman was hit. He falls down and leaves the shop is crawling. Then, the criminals left holding the guns, shooting in the street and fleeing the scene.
"One of the gun came from individuals making more shots," said the lieutenant of the Military Police, Paulo César Braga.
The street was soon surrounded by police, who used the helicopter to try to find the thieves. One of them ran a candy store. Police climbed on the roof. In a new shootout, an MP was shot in the leg and the thief ended up dead.
