  • A properly seared New York steak with asparagus, brown rice and a nice glass of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is on my menu tonight.

Besides, I like the way asparagus makes my pee smell.

  • Tea party is trying to return the Republican party to its conservative roots. I vote the lesser of the two evils and whenever I have the opportunity I promote fiscal conservatism, ie tea party. The idea being to return accountability to the Republican party!
A third party is an uphill battle and likely to fail, besides, why do we need to reinvent the wheel? Just kick out the infidels!

Try a ribeye instead with a little salt and pepper (no maranade at all) cook to rare/medium rare. It will melt More..

Wow! Great ideas for seasoning the steak and chicken. I will do that and post the videos.

I have been voting the "lesser of two evils" my entire life (20 voting years) and I am just sick of having to make that same GD choice.

This time, and maybe, from now on, I am voting for the person/party that reflects my convictions. I may never vote for a winning President again in my lifetime, but it will be a vote that I can be at peace with.

Post some YS Mike. I would love More..

I don't think I'm a "yoursay" kind of guy! I kinda prefer to comment in writing. I've only been a member for a few months, so maybe at some point in the future I may reconsider!

My complements, however, on your graphics and production value.

  • Aaron, my friend, I didn't hear a word you said. I sat here for around 7 minutes waiting for the red juices to bleed out of that "steak". Well, that didn't happen and the chicken tits looked dry as well. LOL! No veggies or spuds either??? WTF??

Funny, I did two chickens in the smoker today. One for me and the other for the guy who tills my garden. Bartering, don't ya know?

Hope your weekend was a good one.

  • No doubt a third party. However if we ever do end up with a 3rd party...it will one day be as corrupt as the other two.

May I suggest that once you remove the steak from the grill, wrap it in foil and let it sit for five minutes.

  • I like the London broil too. You can get a Fred Flintstone sized steak that is pretty affordable.
You didn't notice Obama's out of control spending ? "Green Energy" was a sham Obama used to transfer billions of dollars from the taxpayers to Obama's supporters. Write in Ron Paul
Keep your strength up Flash, we're looking to you to cover the Zimmerman trial in the off chance it isn't tossed out.

P.S. It's driving me nuts that you let your steak get cold !

  • ever have beef tenderloin ?
Yes, it seems to be expensive,@ $35 when on sale but with a good knife, you can get 15 decent steaks out of an 18/19" loin, that's like $2 a steak and put some individually in zip lock bags and place them in the freezer for a future weekend grill.
Try a little papaya juice or some simple marinade that begins to break down the fat and protein then
rub the Montreal steak seasoning on them and in an hour, they are ready for the broiler or grill.

    oh. yeah,
    ... More..

Good idea, I wonder how long you can leave those in the freezer? What do you do, wrap the pieces in Saran wrap and toss them all in a large freezer bag?

  • The TEA party is a response to the failure of Republicans, not the Democrats. I have yet to find a Democrat that understands that. Your principle-less Repubes want Romney, good luck with that. I'm tired of second rate Republicans that give lip service to smaller gov't and a Constitutional perspective, but deliver Democrat-lite or worse.

    PS. Portion control dude.

    • @Yukon6400
Correct, the Republican party is supposed to be a response to the Democrats. The Tea Party is merely filling a void that is left vacant by the Republican party.

Agreed on the Tea Party and Lip Service from Republicans.

Secondly, I have been living the High Life for the past 3 years...maybe it is time for portion control. I am seriously considering doing a weight loss/return to fitness series.
What do you think? Would that be worth watching?

    • @Flashovr

Sure. People need new and different inducements to keep from slipping off the fitness trail. I've only recently restarted doing the Bowflex and once you start working out, usually you don't want to reach for the donut and bowl of ice cream and ruin your efforts. Usually. :-)

    • @mikedelta12 The idea that the Republican Party is a response to anything really gets me. That kind of response assumes the Premise of the Democratic agenda is true. I don't believe it is.

The Republican Party needs to set the Premise of the Argument and then proceed. That is the Key Fault with todays Republican Party is that they Always negotiate from the Democratic perspective/agenda.

Damn it! Republicans need to make a statement and stand their ground on Conservative Principles.

The existance of the republican party is in no way a validation of the Democrats agenda, but it is a validation of the need for a firewall between the Democrat agenda and individual liberties.

All I'm saying is that if the conservative voting block is divided the worst of all possible outcomes will become reality. The "liberal" marxists in the democrat party would like nothing more than to divide and conquer, and if we simply disregard the Republican party in favor of a cle More..

  • I suspect something interesting is going to happen this November. The third party candidate will split the vote, as usual. But this time he's going to split the other party. Right now most of the people talking about writing-in Ron Paul were the guys who actually bought that Hope and Change baloney four years ago.

  • I never drip chicken juice on beef...

Beef cooks much faster than chicken and chance of contamination is high...

as far as the politics, they are all just puppets with the same handler, its a waste of time...

If I could have a choice it would be Ron Paul, but I don't think he will make a good puppet and therefore will never win,so its back to square one...

    a waste of time...
