HUNTSVILLE, Ala.Strong winds toppled spectator tents at a Huntsville air show, sending 11 people to the hospital with injuries. A 5-year-old child is among the most seriously injured.
One tent is about 50 yards in length. Reporters from The Huntsville Times attending the show Sunday said a generator fell on one person, whose condition is likely serious. Minor injuries include cuts and contusions.
A meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Huntsville says winds reached 48 mph during the storm, which cancelled the air show.
