  • Jets leave white trails, or contrails, in their wakes for the same reason you can sometimes see your breath. The hot, humid exhaust from jet engines mixes with the atmosphere, which at high altitude is of much lower vapor pressure and temperature than the exhaust gas. The water vapor contained in the jet exhaust condenses and may freeze, and this mixing process forms a cloud very similar to the one your hot breath makes on a cold day.

  • Also, the Chinese used chemicals in an attempt to manipulate the weather when they hosted the olympic games. I believe they used artillery cannons to blast the chemicals into the sky to prevent it from raining.

    • I know, I was saying they never actually used them. What I had read was that they were going to use old WW2 triple-A cannons.

      There have been examples of legitimate attempts to seed the atmosphere for different reasons. These have got nothing to do with retarded conspiracy theory though.
