In reading Quran 36:38-43, I noticed that not only do the sun and moon sound like they are swimming in an orbit about the earth, but, that they ride in vessels like their offspring, Noah, and, can be drowned in water that moves through the sky that is supposed to be a sphere. I thought I was the only one who interpreted the Quran this way until I came upon Tabari who has Muhammad given a more indept explanation of his take on astronomy.
