Study Says Cannabinoids Show Exceptional Antibacterial Activity Against MRSA
Cannabis Science, Inc. (OTCBB: GFON).
Dr. Robert Melamede, PhD., Director and Chief Science Officer, reported to the Board on the current state of research into the use of natural plant cannabinoids to reduce the spread of drug-resistant bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphyloccus aureus (MRSA), and the prospects for development of topical whole-cannabis treatments.
Acco
More..rding to studies published in the Journal of the American Medical Association and by the Center for Disease Control in 2007, MRSA is responsible for more than 18,500 hospital-stay related deaths each year, and increased direct healthcare costs of as much as $9.7 billion.
Dr. Melamede stated, “Research into use of whole cannabis extracts and multi-cannabinoid compounds has provided the scientific rationale for medical marijuana’s efficacy in treating some of the most troubling diseases mankind now faces, including infectious diseases such as the flu and HIV, autoimmune diseases such as ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease), multiple sclerosis, arthritis, and diabetes, neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s, stroke and brain injury, as well as numerous forms of cancer.
One common element of these diseases is that patients often suffer extended hospital stays, risking development of various Staphyloccus infections including MRSA.

Don't expect any traction on this product any time soon. Lozenges are beneficial because they don't require refrigeration but FDA approval and clinical trials can take years, and there's no gaurantees. A company i've had stock in for 8 years, which markets oral-interferon in lozenge form is catching a nice pop with it's proven immune-boosting effects and will sell vigorously in overseas markets. Anyway, if your looking for a lucrative play check out amar. Medicinal hemp has got a loooong way to go before it catches any market share. peace.

Just trying to support someone who is trying to do the right thing. I am PAINFULLY aware of how long things take to get approved, also think it's ridiculous how a government can pass a law not only banning a naturally occurring plant, but also mandating that you be put in jail for possessing it.

Thats a classic arguement and let me give you a classic rebuttle to that
Poppy's that make heroin are a naturally occuring plant
So is coca which makes coicaine, and crack coicaine.
The most powerful arguement for legalisation is the comparison with alcohol.
both of those drugs mentioned requier quite a bit of processing with chemicals to achieve the finished product.. marijuana is straight off the plant dried then smoked.. and crack cocaine is taking the already processed coke and breaking it down even further there is really not much comparison..

That is what I was thinking, and also these substances are quiet beneficial for many ailments and recreation, more so than synthetic pharmaceuticals if used thoughtfully and in moderation.

This claim is very new to me to be honest. The best way to combat MRSA is for hospitals to remain extensively and systematically clean and to prescribed antibiotics only as necessary.
There was another way of dealing with MRSA that was in development, and that was a type of predatary microbe (proberly bacterial).
I've seen your videos and your points are valid but not comparable to alternative methods that have far less side effects, and are more effective in treating illness.
E.G glucoma medicine's developed by pharmacutical companies are far better in alleviating problems of optical pressure in the humour.
Cannabis's side effects are too numerous to be effective in treating many illnesses because it causes demotivation, reverse blood pressure effect (passing out when you stand up stoned), short term memory loss (the effect on the hippocampus). These are for heavy smokers but they still effect these areas.
For now the alternitives are better then cannabis for most theraputic usage
This is all about potheads wanting this stuff legalized, not medically sound methods of helping people. Thank you for all of your information it was good stuff.

Yeah, I just made it all up. The company, the doctor, the OTCBB, all of it, just because we want to smoke weed.
What a bunch of ignorant ****s.
