More a rigid rail than a flexing tight rope. Long way to go. All the pseudo balancing moves are unnecessary, but good start.

@Horgh_Ungolokh Wasn't unnecessary because if you look closely, the line is rounded and the feet does rotate around it, meaning it could lose its balance and end up upside down if it doesnt balance. Also, if it couldn't balance, it would have fallen the moment it takes one leg off the line to go onto the platform.

@billybobb The poor old guy did not had a chance, bad rigging, strong winds with heavy gusts, 90+ years old......
My comment was more like they test the tight rope with the robot before a show.
But yeah, not funny to joke about it!

Giros and actuators are getting that small these days, as are super fast embedded processors.

I don't care if he has notches in his feet-
That is still pretty grand for DIY robotic balance.
Gyros and quick computa-bilty are that cheap now eh?
Are there good freeware progs that will run that by now?
I imagine there are..

More interesting video if you throw things at it at different strengths and see it try to regain balance each time...

the first usable robot will be the one robbing a bank for you, hand over the money, and goes to jail for it, instead of you
