al-Qamishli, Syria: March of Kurdish Defense Units (YPG)
In the northern part of Syria, also known as Western Kurdistan, the Kurdish Peole´s Defense Units (YPG) hold a march in memory of a Kurdish fighter called Xebat Derik. People showed the picture of the three Kurdish female activists who were killed in Paris last week. Although YPG forces wanted to remain neutral within the Syria crisis several members of arab gangs are still conducting attacks on them, which is not least due to the fact that Turkey is giving them logistical support in order to destabilise the kurdish areas of Syria.
