  • Racism? We don't want to hear it anymore. We don't care anymore. It won't work anymore. We elected President Obama. The race card is dead. The life of Droogs is inconsequential. Period.

  • Yes, yes. When all intellectual initiatives fail, scream racist. Again. And again. And again. Ad infinitum. Not to mention the vulgur sexual modus operandi for the flaming twits.

    • Agree 100%. This bullshit of accusing everyone who disagrees with them as being a racist is getting pretty fucking old. They think the race card is a get out of any losing argument free card and I hope that the rest of America starts to see it for what it is and is as tired of it as I am. Most of the accusers are more racist than anyone they accuse of it...

  • Typical liberal progressive distorting facts and standing up false arguments. If it was not for Republicans the civil rights bill would have never passed the racist Democrats.

    • really? you do know that those Dems wanting segregation moved to the republican party. Johnson supposedly said upon signing the bill into law "We have lost the South for a generation" referring to the democratic party.

They knew it was the right thing to do and did it.

I am not a democrat nor ever voted dem, but god dammit I hate when shit heads like you distort reality to suit you. Furthermore, you shouldn't even try to relate the parties of yesteryear to today. They are completely More..

    • And as soon as Civil Rights were passed.....by LBJ...the true colors of the "Solid South" turned Republican. And the good'ol'racist "Solid South" has been a strong Republican foothold EVER SINCE!

Get over that ruse man. Conservatives have been touting the racist banner for decades.

Say HI to Strom Thurmond in hell when you see him.

    • Racism is classifying a whole group of people in a negative way. Sort of like what you did here by saying republicans are racist.....
      :(
Republican party was founded in Ripon, Wisconsin, in 1854 by anti-slavery expansion activists and modernizers.
Lincoln was a republican. Martin Luther King Jr. also.
The 1964 Civil Rights Act was an update of Republican Senator Charles Sumner´s 1875 Civil Rights Act.

    • Hey I wont deny that the "racist" banner has been held by both sides of the spectrum at certain points in time.

But please get a freaking history lesson. Look up the term "Solid South", and get back to me. The "Republicans" have been holding the flag for the last near 50 years. Please dont banter about who had it before. Especially when we are talking about decades. What matters now is WHO is holding that bag, and can we ever just get rid of the damn bag alltoget More..

    • There's no denying the history of the Republican Party in the South. Name one (other than an OU football hero...elected in Oklahoma) black person, even in "safe districts", that has been elected to a National position since 1920....when the Republican Party moved toward the KKK (and please DO start your research with Indiana before you rant).

So no lies, just truth...and all you have to do is read this thread and see the amount of racist and sexist comments by "conservatives" More..

  • Who is this man, with the high voice, in this video?

Of course there should be a literacy test. Because any one that voted for Obama, is lacking common sense or is intellectually deficient. Therefore, many of them, if not most of them, would fail that test. Conservatives are educated voters, whereas, liberals just repeat talking points, which they know nothing about, but they repeat like parrots.

I love it when these libertards get their panties in a bunch. And on that note, I will leave t More..

But thanks for the silver star. Retarded? I'll test my intellect against yours any day on any post. I am sure you understand the retard remark was satirical.
You seem an intelligent person and I am not used to dealing with that when dealing with people......on the right..... ;o)
I will never block comments because one, I am an American and two, because a healthy debate makes a healthy Country.
I very much appreciate intelligent responses.

    • Thanks for the Gold Star, Tongueboy.

You know, it is nice to have a civil discussion without name calling. It is a sign of intelligence.

But I do know what you mean, sometimes we all stoop to the lowest common denominator, but that is usually when we are provoked by others. I don't mind, and I am sure you probably don't mind, the opposition taking a few jabs. If those jabs are intended as humor and the debate is all in good fun.

Here is a prime example of what I am speaking about: You More..

  • The funny thing is she seems to be implying that the proposed literacy tests would be unevenly applied like the old ones she compares them to, when she knows damn well no one would attempt that these days.

I'll bet at least a million people went to the polls last year not capable of reading a single word on the ballot, just knowing to put their checkmark next to the word with the big "O". I'm sure their decision was well-informed.

    • Her point is that if voters were required to be literate, they would lose most of their liberal votes. I'd be satisfied with just an IQ test and a crack screening.

Those questions are ridiculous. However, this is 2010 for crying out loud. Black people are now holding some of the highest positions in our government, profession, entertainment and etc. Black is a part of American culture.
So using things from 1965 is a low tactic.
