Sure, the mechanical hammer and grinders were used aaaall the way back when axes were first made of metal. Traditional my arse!
There is a much better video on here where the guy does it all by hand, THAT'S traditional.
Mind you, then lodge constructions is awesome. Very skilful

cool, I remember seeing cabins in southern Germany made with huge logs around two foot diameter, easier with a chainsaw I guess.
