The level 3A would stop the 10mm HP without the level 2 panel in front at point blank range. It is rated to stop 44 Magnum Full Metal Jacket, point blank. You do not want to get hit by a 44 Mag FMJ especially point blank, as the trauma alone will do serious damage.
I sell body armor and though I know the ratings, I still think it is foolish to do this.

Once you get hit, you need to replace that ballistic panel, NEVER take a chance and continue using it. In fact, I would recommend he replace both panels in front (he said he stacked a Level II and a Level III-A).

Dude, I've worn all sorts of body armor for 30 years. Both American Body Armor and before that, Second Chance that was the first.
What the hell is that little "patch" on the front of your vest where you conveniently place the muzzle?
How about letting us see the actual round that you loaded into the chamber?
I have also never heard of Second chance doing anything with ABA.

I found the patch quite odd as well.
I did enjoy his pivot move before he sets up to finally shoot. Very deliberately hiding the action from the camera. Subtle, kinda, but deliberate.
I watch too many How Magicians Do That videos.

Level III-A is soft body armor rated up to 44 Mag FMJ and 12 gauge rifled slugs, it will not stop rifle rounds unless a K-30 steel plate is inserted and that is only for one hit. You can also use a T-15 Titanium insert that is 1/3 the weight with exactly the same ballistic protection. I usually advise buying the K30 and saving the money as the additional weight from steel is minimal.

@GraveMatter- No my shock plates at they were called to me, were rifle plated and they put a rubber coating on them to keep rounds from sliding or skipping into your face is what they told me. It was a very serious and uncomfortable stuff vest, but gave me that extra safety that the government didnt provide me.
