Jesus is God

All scripture quoted from Douay Rheims Holy Bible.
The word Jesus is the Latin form of the Greek Iesous, is the transliteration of the Hebrew Jeshua, or Joshua, or again Jehoshua, meaning "Jehovah is salvation." His name in Hebrew is Yeshua. "Yeshua HaMashiach in English is Jesus our Messiah. Christ is the English translation of Christos and it means the anointed one. It's the equivalent of the Hebrew Messias. It was more of a title until after His resurrection. Christians in Israel do use His Hebrew name. Either are acceptable.

Some say the Holy Bible has been changed.
The only thing that has ever occurred was deciding which were inspired & which were not because of false teachings and even today we're faced with false teachings and infiltration of the church just as it happened when the apostles were alive. [Jude 1:4], [1 John 2:19]
The Holy Trinity is shown to us from the beginning of scripture. [Gen 1:1,2] "In the beginning God created heaven, and earth. And the earth was void and empty, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God moved over the waters." Then as His first act of creating, God said let there be light and light was made.God spoke everything into existence.
Then we read of the creation of man in verse 26 & 27. "And he said: Let us make man to our image and likeness: and let him have dominion over the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the air, and the beasts, and the whole earth, and every creeping creature that moveth upon the earth. And God created man to his own image: to the image of God he created him: male and female he created them."God is saying let us make man to our image and likeness. This us the Lord speaks of are the 3 persons of the trinity. In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God. The Word became flesh. [ John 1:1-14]
Jesus answers in response to Thomas asking how they can know the way that He is the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh to the Father but by me.[ John 14:6-11] Not only that, but Jesus also says if you had known me, you would know His Father also & that from that time onward they'd know the Father & have seen the Father. Philip still being stumped asks Jesus to show them the Father.
In response, Jesus says " Have I been so long a time with you; and have you not known me? Philip, he that seeth me seeth the Father also. How sayest thou, Shew us the Father? Do you not believe, that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you, I speak not of myself. But the Father who abideth in me, he doth the works. Believe you not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me?"
So here we see Jesus saying to them that he & the Father in heaven are one in the same.
This would be blasphemy if it were not true. Jesus basically said the same thing before that in verse 6.
Jesus told them that the works he did, he did not of himself but that the Father did the works through him. This shows the Holy Trinity, how the Father, Son, Holy Spirit perform different tasks and yet they make up the same one God. Not three.
Turning back to the O.T, [Isaiah 43:11-13.] "I am, I am the Lord: and there is no saviour besides me. I have declared, and have saved. I have made it heard, and there was no strange one among you. You are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and I am God. from the beginning I am the same, and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall turn it away?"So the Lord says there is no saviour besides him. Yet Jesus calls people with promise to give them rest from their trouble filled life and that they will find rest for their souls. [Matthew 11:28-30]
And again, Jesus says in [John 14:6] "Jesus saith to him: I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man cometh to the Father, but by me." If they only had to turn to God, Jesus had some nerve saying what he did and is guilty of blasphemy. But he's not. Jesus said it was the Father that did the works because the Father worked through his son Jesus the Christ. It was through the virgin birth that God manifested himself in a human body to save the lost of Israel & the Gentiles. It is through His Son that we can have a personal relationship with the Father. They are one. Jesus also equaled himself with the Father in [John 8:56-58] " Abraham your father rejoiced that he might see my day: he saw it, and was glad. The Jews therefore said to him: Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say to you, before Abraham was made, I am."This made the Jews there very angry. So much so they wanted to stone Jesus to death. [John 8:58]" They took up stones therefore to cast at him. But Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple."

Jesus also equals himself with the Father in Revelation 22. In Rev 22:13 we read, "I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." & then verse 16, we read " I Jesus have sent my angel, to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the root and stock of David, the bright and morning star."How can Jesus be the first & the last if the Lord says he is the only saviour and that he is the first and the last? Jesus clearly showed that he's not only the Son of God, but that he & the Father are indeed one.
The Lord says in [Isaiah 48:12] "Hearken to me, O Jacob, and thou Israel whom I call: I am he, I am the first, and I am the last."
In the O.T there were physical appearances by the Lord. God is spirit, how then did he appear physically and walk the earth? This was the same Jesus. The Word of God made flesh. The Lord walked in the garden and spoke to Adam & Eve. The Lord appeared to Abraham. The Lord appeared to Moses, put Moses in the cleft of a rock & Moses saw the backside of the Lord as the Lord passed by. The Lord also went with the two angels to Abraham when God was soon to bring judgment on Sodom & Gomorrah. [Genesis 3:8], [Genesis 12:7], [Genesis 18:1], [Exodus 33:20-23]

There really is nothing left to be said in response about the untrue accusations Muslims bring up out of ignorance.
