From March 7-9 The Society of Toxicology has been holding their 50th Anniversary Conference at the DC Convention Center. Huntingdon Life Sciences(HLS) is in booth #561, Covance and James River, their two main competitors, are also there.
HLS, James River, and Covance are all contract animal research laboratories, their presence at the Society of Toxicology convention or "Toxexpo" is no doubt related to such "science" as testing how much bleach you have to drink to die from it, an experiment actually carried out at HLS.
Before protesters could even reach the Washington Cenvention Center, one of the attendees assaulted a protester and was videotaped in the act.
