In 1969, the Jimi Hendrix Experience is on the top of the charts, changing the sound and the face of rock music. With the release of the band's third album, Electric Ladyland, freelance reporter Hugh Curry interviews Jimi Hendrix, drummer Mitch Mitchell and bassist Noel Redding for the afternoon youth program called, Through The Eyes Of Tomorrow.

• Through The Eyes of Tomorrow was hosted by Stephen Foster. It was a magazine show that examined the world through the eyes of young adults. Hugh Curry conducted the Jimi Hendrix Experience interview on Jan. 7, 1969 in Hendrix's apartment in London.
• On May 3, 1969, Hendrix was arrested in Toronto for possession of heroin and hashish. Hendrix claimed that the drugs were placed in his baggage by a fan. After several court appearances in December, Hendrix was acquitted of all charges.
• The Jimi Hendrix Experience played Maple Leaf Gardens on May 3, 1969. Ticket prices ranged from $2.50 to $5.50. Cat Mother and the All-Night Newsboys opened for them.
• The May 31, 1969 edition (RS 34) of Rolling Stone magazine featured a photograph of Hendrix on the cover. It was taken in Toronto.
