HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius: "I'm not a lawyer."

In response to a question from Congressman Trey Gowdy regarding the contraception mandate in the new health insurance legislation, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius admitted that she had not taken into account any of the Supreme Court's standard tests for balancing religious liberties against government power, nor could she cite any legal memo written by her lawyers that shows that HHS or the Obama administration considered the constitutionality of the mandate. Sebelius starts her answer with "I'm not a lawyer," and proceeds over the span of about four minutes to display an utter lack of knowledge and disregard for constitutional law.

  • This kind of thinking is rife throughout the Obama Administration. Obama made his appointments to numerous massive government beaureaucracies on the basis of political ideology, not any sort of standard of professionalism or competence.

The EPA also is engaged in a similar heavy-handed disregard for precedent, law and simple common sense, with a similarly ideological/incompetent leadership appointed by Obama; and it is wreaking havoc with our economy.

This is where a President's power is mos More..

  • Oh, Kathleen. You are a pure Progressive, leftist graduate from the Clinton College of Cunts now aren't you? Obama and this cadre of fools need to be rounded up after the election and shipped to Venezuela where they'll fit right in.
