  • I'm pretty good with rifle to pistol switching, but sometimes I find myself firing one handed, I use friction holsters exclusively for all my pistols and draw one handed while slinging the rifle simultaneously, I find it as fast but less damaging than dropping the gun as opposed to slinging it because at least you can place shots for suppression while securing your primary.

    Another thing I will do with a rifle that does not have a sling is hold it in my left hand at its center and fire one han More..

      The reason I use slings is because I'm a frequent hunter but also a hiker too, so on an expedition on foot it's quite a hassle to go without a sling. But as such, my only rifles that I have slings on are guns that I hunt with.

      At the range slings aren't very handy and in a self defense situation I don't really think I'd bother fumbling around with it but I still make myself use it just for practice and security.

      I stick to leather friction for the most part, never used More..

  • For home defense use a mossberg .410 with pistol grip. The perpetrator won't like it and your sheet rock will still be happy.

      I like the mossberg .410 because a child could wield it as could any untrained shooter if tshtf. Especially with a pistol grip.
