      You know I used to have the same oppinion. Less guns less crime, and it works like a charm if you have a population that is homogenous and civilized.
      Then again, you don´t really need a gun for defense then either, since crime is not really a problem.

      Nowdays some of our cities have more gun crime than some of your cities.
      And guess what, none of the guns are legally bought.

      I mean sure we have a lot of hunters, but the criminals don´t bother using rifles when they can buy better More..

Since there are 300 million guns out there it would be impossible for the government to get them all back. They try to imply the US has a terrible murder rate. Actually in 2011 it's 35th in the world per 100,000 population (Wikipedia).

    I would bet that if someone had a ccw in that theater this would not as gone as far as it did.
    Is it probable that that person would have been eliminated, yes .But with two or three ccw's in there, the outcome would have been different.
