A fire broke out in a construction area Sunday at Camp Leatherneck in Helmand province, Afghanistan, NBCSanDiego reports.

Crews from nearby Camp Bastion assisted and one firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation, Lt. Col. Chris Hughes, a public affairs officer with 1st Marine Expeditionary Force (forward), told the news outlet.

The fire was limited to an area used for supplies and storage.

“We do have some residents who have been evacuated as a precaution,” Hughes told NBCSanDiego.

As of Sunday night, crews were still monitoring the area to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
