Report: IDF troops kill teen in Gaza

Palestinian sources say 15-year old was apparently trying to infiltrate Israel, IDF investigating

Palestinian sources reported Sunday that a 15-year old Palestinian youth was shot to death by IDF soldiers in the southern Gaza Strip.


The report follows a tense four days after exchanges of fire killed two Israeli soldiers in Gaza on Friday.


Sources said the youth, who had gone missing in the morning, was found dead near the border fence between Israel and Gaza near the site of the defunct Dahaniyah Airport. He was taken to the hospital,
where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.


The IDF is still investigating, but Gazan sources estimate that the youth had neared the border fence and was apparently attempting to enter Israel.
