  • I am from the school of thought where you should allow any member of ground support crew to have a backseat flight in one of these at least twice a year if they so wish.

Builds understanding, trust, commitment, professionalism and sheer awe.

Applies for all aircraft, fighter to tanker.

  • Loved my time in the U.S.A.F. @ Spangdahlem AB. Especially when the Brits came for TDY to the base-they were so cool. Thanks for your service with USA & God bless yours & our Troops!

  • Great clip and I respect the pilots and capabilities of the RAAF. But, every bit of the equipment shown here is simply bought off the shelf. Nothing is Australian made. We never make anything, our government doesn't encourage local capability and shopping at our local Lockheed-Martin outlet is the best we can manage. John Howard even thought that buying whatever crap was offered up was a way of showing our loyalty.

    • @whogoesthere
The F-18 is a Boeing Product. Only five nations and a European consortium make modern fighters. US, Russia, China, France, Sweden and Eurofighter. No shame in in buying a fine fighter in the 'bug'.
