Heavy flooding in the Philippines capitol, Manila, estimated to have effected the lives of some two million people, has now stopped and the waters are receding. However, in what one would think is an unreal situation droves of people appear to be out having fun. Some, perhaps a little too much. In times when one would think the majority would be troubled, such people likely represent those particularly resilient and carefree.










Flooding was heaviest from the 6th to the 8th, during which record setting downpours devastated Manila suburbs. Video below, shot from rubber dinghy on the 8th of Aug in the Santa Mesa V-Mapa district, showcases some of the flooding.
