Vice President of Robocop World Federation Hans-Dieter Burkhard says Iran has a good chance of hosting the 2010 international competition.

Iran has been one of the best countries in the world in robotics during the last 10 years, Burkhard said in an interview with the Mehr News Agency on Thursday.

Iran has more experience than other countries because of holding Robocop competitions, he pointed out.

Many teams participated in the IranOpen 2008 Robocop competition, demonstrating that Iran has one of the best teams in robotics, he noted.

Burkhard remarked that the level of the IranOpen 2008 Robocop competitions was very high, and he felt sure Iran will break new ground in robotics.
