I am no expert but i'd say that water will need to be pumped out. I would go as far as to say i bet the experts would agree with me.

@Hollrobb I disagree, I think the water needs to be either tricked or shamed out.

@ChumCannon As i stated in my first comment "I am No expert" so i was just going on my first instinct. Then again i've seen cartoons where like an elephant will drink all the water in a pond and squirt it out at a monkey or some shit, so anything is possible.

@NotJim My guess is it seen the city on the way in and is afraid to come back out. And from what i hear about NY i don't blame it.

It's not just 'turn the pumps on'? I'm sure at some point they knew this would happen, the blue prints should of called for it?

First off the reason why the water was still in the tunnel and not being pumped out at the time video was being made. They had to bring in engineer's to look at the structure to make sure it was safe to put worker's down there to start the process. The surge that went in could of made the tunnel weak and removed some of the soil above the tunnel. They had diver's looking at all the tunnels yesterday, was told it was difficult for them to see in the Hudson. The water was still stirred up pretty b More..

What system usually removes the water? Guess it failed or was overwhelmed. Seems it should be able to finally catch back up by now.
