When we face tight situation that need emergency break, we cann't apply break system alone. Shift the gear down along with hit the break will help u.

here in the US we have schools called drivers education ! that teaches teenagers !!! how to safely brake ect.. im glad you figured it out before you hit your 30s

WTF? Well, to make something constructive out of this: ABS does NOT brake better than regular brakes. However, you can't lock them up, and you can still steer. Regular brakes lock up if you push too hard, so you have to pump them. But if you do, they stop great. Also, yeah you can downshift, but that's hard on the engine.
