  • Well everybody with half a brain knows you take the unemployment figure they say, then add 5% - 10% and that is likely the real figure. And the point is Obama is a complete failure at doing anything to get the figure down. Obama can't CREATE many jobs obviously, but his job would be to create legislation - or ELIMINATE laws on the books - that will help the American market create jobs. Obviously we're still in 1930 AD half-a-depression when it comes to jobs. This bumbler should never have be More..

    • @Hitler_Is_Amazing You hit the nail on the head with the jobs comment, the president cannot create jobs unless he increases the size of the public sector, that's the only way. What he can do is create the conditions for private employers to hire and thats all. The problem is so many businesses have now learned to do more with less and are apprehensive to hire another person. And of course, business still sucks.

    • @The Grim Yeah businesses are struggling..........with making record profits!

    • @cdlcrash But if you look at what they were "projected" to make, profits are WAAAAY down.
My company does this all the time. They want to show some red on the chart no matter what. We were projected to grow revenue by 300% this year, and we only grew 149%
This is less than HALF of our projected revenue! So obviously budget cutbacks and layoffs are on the table....
      (obviously)

    • @cdlcrash You're talking about massive corporations and banks or oil companies or whatever....50% of the workforce is employed by small business...you think they're making record profits or would you like to rethink what you just said.....

  • Barack Obama may be well-intentioned. He may be a fine father. He may have an excellent jump shot. And he may be a first-rate community organizer. But as president, he is simply — and by now almost undeniably — overmatched by events. By Obama’s own standards – by what he said and by what he promised — he is a failure.

    • @yorba - shit...my dick is well-intentioned (or is it well-endowed...) anyway, it doesn't mean that I know who has STDs. Like the president...you want to do things that aren't too extreme...and mainly don't fuck up!

  • get rid of welfare...hungry people figure out how to get jobs

    Posted Jun-2-2012 By

    • @dietcokesucks Yeah buddy, the problem is that we have so much welfare, that people can't figure out how to get jobs.
It has nothing to do with outsourcing millions of jobs overseas, or other economic factors.

  • Somewhere between the CNN numbers and the more realistic numbers in this link, lies the actual number.

    • @RoccoSantoro - FOX is accounting for people who aren't searching for jobs anymore...while everyone else is only accounting for people who are searching for jobs. A lot of people gave up and accept being unemployed (or work on the side and don't claim it).

  • In a somewhat related story, the high school class of 2012 just graduated. many will be on the lookout for jobs, while others will be headed off to college.

Congratulations to the graduating Seniors, and Good Luck to you all. Congratulations to all you parents for raising your children to become young adults and sticking with them throughout their school years.

We now have additional numbers of young adults to add to those already looking for work.

Funny how you brought up politics... I just spoke of them from their point of views or truly their lack of a moral foundation.

      A lot like you.

  • We added 68000-69000 jobs in the month of may.
THIS IS DEVASTATING NEWS, OH THE HORROR!
    Propagandists are funny.
"Not as good as we thought, but still good" turns into "DEVASTATING!"

    • @cocainespork - Devistating because only 68k-96k were added while about twice as many were lost. Unemployment numbers are less than the actual number. Sounds pretty DEVASTATING to me.

    • @MatBower How many were lost? Where are you getting your numbers?
I thought "added jobs" was net jobs.
If we lost twice as many, they should be talking about jobs lost.
