Just after 10 P.M. a car lost control on Mountain Road & Birchmount and crashed into people standing on the sidewalk. Hundreds of people lined Mountain Road to watch the vehicles in town for the Atlantic Nationals. Many Codiac R.C.M.P. and a few Ambulances responded to the call along with Moncton Fire. At least 3 people were injured and could be as many as 5. Police put tape up around the scene and tried to move the crowd of people. 2 of the 4 lanes of Mountain Road was blocked so Police could investigate the crash. Road conditions were wet in places from rain earlier today , and a flat bed tow truck was needed. The road was reopened by Police at 12:15 A.M.
