@abutamem To a point yes, but I remember how MORE enjoyable my place in Panama suddenly became when an internet connection became available. Still more chickens in the road than cars though, and that's the way I like it.

@BloodyPeasant It's amazing how cell phones have taken off! Three years ago the village where my house is had no land line that worked, and those with mobile phones(foreigners, and some ranchers) had to drive several miles and park on top of a hill in order to ATTEMPT to place a call. When I was back there in June of this year a new cellular tower was up, and it seemed as if every teenager had a mobile phone stuck to their ear.
