@BIGLOUBRUNO Haha well there is no way to tell if that is a DPMS, S&W M&P, Bushmaster, RRA, or any other builder of ARs. Nor can we tell if it's chambered .223 or .223/5.56 since only certain builds can shoot the 5.56 ammo because of head spacing on the brass.

@BIGLOUBRUNO The AR15 is the civilian M4. Does your gun have "For Government Use Only" etched into it? Meaning it could have been bought used from a store which got it at auction. Also M4s have a 3 switch safety for automatic fire, AR15s do not have automatic selectors nor the auto sear which makes full auto possible. Stocks and handguards no longer identify the type since there are so many variations and builds these days.

@Sp33dyD3m0n Thats what i had found out on the 223 thing . The dealer was sure to let me know that this was chambered 556 and to only buy 5.56 do head spacing and expansion. Im in love with that gun though for sure. I love shooting it and it is super accurate.

a .223 shouldn't shoot 5.56 though.
The only major difference is 5.56 has thicker case walls, which means they can load them to higher pressures.
Oh yeah, also: Since your carbine is 1/9 twist, you should stick to the lighter bullets.

@Lacroix Yep its basicly an AR , but on the box it came in Bushmaster calls it The Carbon 15 M4 . the lower receiver is Made of some kinda carbon so its light weight but real strong. My friend has an AR 15 and when you put them side by side you cant really tell the Difference ?? Thanks Bro and i hope all is well.
