When they're dropping fire retardant in your back yard, it's probably time to say goodbye to all your shit.
I don't know where this is. Just damn glad it's not my house. Although I would love to know what he's feeding his lawn. That shit is 10 shades greener than the neighbors. Cloud...silver lining...etc.

This video didn't have to look this way. It could have been prevented. Say NO to vertical videos.

BULLSHIT... Borate salts were used in the past to fight wildfires but were found to sterilize the soil, were toxic to animals, and are now prohibited. Newer retardants use ammonium sulfate or ammonium polyphosphate with attapulgite clay thickener or diammonium phosphate with a guar gum derivative thickener. These are not only less toxic but act as fertilizers to help the regrowth of plants after the fire. Fire retardants often contain wetting agents, preservatives and rust inhibitors and are col More..

This is probably in Colorado. That state is dry as beef jerky at the moment which aggravates the wild fires.

It looks so desolate where those houses are you'd think it would act as a natural fire-break.

@ernie2skidoo
Same as in Florida we keep encroaching on the natural buffer zones and as a result people lose their houses and possessions when something like a fire or hurricane happens. Fifty years ago I bet that area was nothing but woodlands and if there was a fire there no one cared or it was not nearly as devastating as it is now.

What'd you expect, you built a subdivision right on top of a bone dry desert full of kindling. Who the fuck would live out there anyway? I mean besides tweakers and bikers.

If this is in the People's Democratic Republic of California, they are not allowed to remove brush from around, or build firebreaks near their home because it might endanger the "desert thrush mouse" of some other ridiculous shit like that....
