@JamesTurkey No it's not a ridiculous criticism. Some presidents rely on them, for compensation, and some don't. Obama depends on them more than anybody ever has. He brings them to speak to grade school children.
When's the last time you saw Obama in a White House press conference? This is a press corps that does nothing but toss the man softball after softball, but he abstains and sends his lackey instead because he can't answer their questions by reading off of his 10 teleprompters.

Most good public speakers and people with LEADERSHIP skills and THEIR OWN IDEAS can speak from the heart, are consistent with their political positions and are not afraid to call things like they see them.
