A NEWS HOPE: Julian Assange v Rupert Murdoch

Episode XIII - A NEWS HOPE. Is an honest Media the one and only Force than can restore peace and balance to the Galaxy? To find out, we consult two of journalism's most influential and inflammatory figures: Rebel journalist, enfant terrible, Julian Assange, who awaits a verdict in London which could see him 'Sextradited' to Sweden. And, on the opposite end of the journalistic spectrum, Rupert Murdoch, head of the mighty NewsCorp media Empire, embroiled in legal scandals that go to the highest and lowest levels of celebrity in Britain.

  • In other words Wikileaks is okay as long as it only harms America and Americans.

The current American Government is the New King Tyrant.

    • @USA1 Which American has it harmed (apart from Manning, of course)?

America harmed itself by acting as it did and writing those communiqués. This is about revenge and making an example of Asange and Wikileaks because the US govt. and establishment are embarrassed that their true thoughts, methods and agendas have been exposed in a manner they can't control.

Don't get me wrong, I am patriotic and very pro the Aust/US alliance and what we are doing, but in this case, the US and Australian govts More..

BS. The leaks did more harm to those other nations that we had diplomatic communications with than it did to the US.

You're obviously fine with the US being dressed down but I doubt you'd feel so warm and fuzzy about an American upturning your govt's ability to conduct affairs of state, etc.

    • @USA1 WikLeaks did the same thing to the Australian govt at the same time. You are not Robinson Caruso.

And you still cheer for the saboteur working to undermine your country and its citizens, eh?

The only thing Wikileaks accomplished are a few dead people, distrust throughout the diplomatic community (a serious problem now considering the real serious issues going on with Iran and the ME), and a hamstrung US State Department.

Your fucking hero, Assange, will never know or admit to the actual carnage he's responsible for.
