TEMPE, AZ -- The Easter bunny put in a lot of hard work here in the Valley over the past 24 hours.
In addition to his usual duties, he targeted photo radar cameras in Tempe.
The person behind the bunny costume managed to shut one of the cameras down for hours.
"I think it's funny, the cameras are annoying," said John Leonard of Tempe.
Jay Shelton of Bonner Springs, Kansas videotaped the prank and then uploaded it to YouTube.
"I heard there was going to be an Easter Bunny there so I figured I'd tape him," said Shelton.
The 90-second clip shows someone dressed in the costume walk up to a red light camera at the intersection of Rural Road and University Drive in Tempe.
The person in the bunny costume, who Shelton won't identify, takes a giant egg and places it over the camera rendering it useless.

"The Easter Bunny, I guess he was hopping mad about the photo radar so he took an egg and put it on the photo radar scamera," said Shelton.
In December of 2008, people dressed as Santa Claus pulled a similar prank, also in Tempe.
Drivers seem to support such shenanigans.
"I think it's pretty funny," said Victor Black of Tempe. "I'd like to have seen it in person."
Tempe police, however, aren't laughing, calling such behavior criminal damage.
But Shelton says it'll continue, until the cameras come down.
"If the legislators would do their job, the Easter Bunny wouldn't have to do this kind of thing," said Shelton.
