Dallas police arrested Braunsha Banks, 17, (right) yesterday in the fatal holdup of an Old East Dallas candy vendor on Sept. 12.
Banks and two other men approached the door of 42-year-old Raul Galdemez, who was running a candy store inside his apartment in the 7800 Ferguson Road, police say. According to police, Banks admitted to threatening Galdemez with mace during the robbery.
Police say another man, Billy Remmington Turner, 18, (lower right) fired a handgun through the door as Galdemez tried to shut it. He was soon pronounced dead.
Turner faces a charge of capital murder and is being held in the county jail in lieu of $750,000 bail.
Banks told investigators he didn't know Turner had a gun. He faces a charge of robbery and is being held in lieu of $2,500.
