Car Thieves Get Their Christmas Wish
A pair of car thieves got an early Christmas present: their video posted on baitcar.com.
The video was shot in April 2006 in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. The two suspects are in a bait truck, hitting speeds of up to 130 kilometres an hour.
One thief turns to the other and says: "You know what'd be funny? If this was a bait car. They have them in Kelowna now, hey, you know that?
"
More..Seriously, you think we got a bait car? Wouldn't it be crazy if they . . . threw it up on baitcar.com? We can look at ourselves getting pinched!"
At the end of the five-minute clip, the pair run away after the engine is cut.
Sgt. Gord Elias said that, after a short chase, the boys -- aged 15 and 16 -- were caught by Kelowna RCMP.
They were arrested and charged with theft over $5,000, possession of stolen property and dangerous driving. Elias said both pleaded guilty. Less..
