Florida State troopers arrested 50-year-old Nancy Dvornik and charged her with Driving Under the Influence and Driving With A Suspended License as a result of the traffic crash at the Shell gas station on the corner of Bird Road and 67 Avenue on Monday.
If convicted of the DUI charge, it will be Dvornik's third DUI Conviction.
Miami Dade Fire Rescue said Dvornik, who was heading east on Bird Road in a Ford Super Duty 350, lost control and slammed into a Mercedes Benz near SW 67th Avenue.
Witnesses said the woman's truck then veered into the gas station lot where it hit 3 cars pumping gas, and clipped a gas pump island. Luckily, a quick thinking clerk inside the store immediately turned off the pumps.
Dvornik then hit 2 cars parked in front of the mini-mart, before crashing through the store’s front door.
Several people were treated for minor injuries. The driver of the truck was taken to a local hospital to be treated for cuts on her face. At least four vehicles, including the truck, were totaled.
