  • Yeah she was holding the ball too long there but I don't know if I would have penalized the whole team for it. That was a little uncalled for by the ref

  • Learn about soccer before you post this kind of crap.

    1. She is allowed to take her time while waiting for players to clear the box of a save.

    2. The time she was called for it, she was not doing it.

    3. The American keeper I can post as well did it 7 times as well, and in 4 of those cases took longer.

    4. Even the American coach stated on NBC she has never seen that called, ever, she also said that it is a rare call, and should not have ever been called, especially in a Gold Medal game,and More..

  • Learn the game OP. The goal tender can wait until the players clear to mid-field. The US had a gift given as this was a brutal call (as well as the subsequent hand ball on the indirect kick) Horrible refereeing and there were several bizarre US biased calls. I'm sure the US women's team is thanking their lucky stars that these London Olympics are such a farce.

  • Technically , once the keeper has the ball under control , in her hands , she has 6 seconds to get rid of it.The refs should of been punishing that .
