Suheir Hammad, she is a female, Palestinian Muslim with two brothers in the U.S. Navy.

This is a performance at Def Poetry Jam. The poem is about 9/11, the hate, the war and the victims. All from a woman's point of view.

The audience is moved to tears and she receives a standing ovation at the end.
