    • @KPD I would agree, however if you take a look at American history - it is/has never been clean and smooth (ie people singing Kumbayah). It is dirty, chaotic and loud- as it is supposed to be - that is how you see change. The American civil war, the Civil rights movement, the Reagan revolution etc. Yes, you can piss off half the country, but you can still effect change as a result.

    • @bmd12345 Actually, if you look at American history, change HAS been relatively clean and smooth compared to the norm in most countries, & that is one of the things that has always stood out about the U.S. compared to most of the world--For starters, just compare the American Revolution to the French Revolution(s)...Or compare the birth and growth of our Nation after gaining independence from England, to what happened in Mexico after their independence from Spain...Or many other examples.
