Fedex jumbo jet crashes in Japan
March 23, 2009 (CNN) -- The pilot and co-pilot aboard a FedEx cargo plane were killed when the plane burst into flames Monday while landing at Tokyo's Narita airport in Japan, airport and hospital officials said.
Video from the landing showed the plane bouncing at least twice on the runway and veering left as it turned on its side before bursting into flames. The fire destroyed the aircraft

According to observations at the airport, wind gusts were reported to be between 30 to 50 mph around the time of the crash.

Looks like pilot tried to push the nose wheel on the strip after hard landing, followed by a panicky pull-up to avoid wheelbarrowing and stall. Lack of practice lead to that kind of pilot error.

I think that's what they used to call Pilot Induced Oscillation where the pilots reaction to a bounce only creates another worse bounce but I've heard that strong winds played a part in this crash.
Whatever it's a sad way to die.
