Walking down the street today I saw a man with a flag and a sign facing towards the road at an intersection. Cars were honking every five seconds, so I decided to investigate and in true Live Leak fashion, interview him.

    • @SaxonBruiser How about Reagan? He sure said the same things Obama is saying about gun regulation. Reagan, the poster child for conservatism, signed the Mulford Act, after his presidency he supported the Brady Bill and so did Bush Sr. No one was up in arms about that, but when a black president suggests sensible and needed gun control it's now convenient to go crazy. Too funny!

    • @SaxonBruiser That I am not. I'm actually a Republican, not your current state of mind Tea Party/Republican that has been propagandized by the Corporations/Rich/the Church who like good little slaves of contradiction. I love the Gipper though, he had morals and values for the common man/woman when it came to protecting him/her from the misinterpretation of the second amendment. I love guns too. I have many, and I enjoy them hunting and protecting my family. I don't need a AK-47/AR-15 with scope, More..

The second amendment doesn't say a damn thing about protecting your family. Don't judge the amendment based on what you think it was designed for. It's about preserving freedom.

It was a perfectly plausible statement, and legally accurate. So it was generalized; that does not mean he implied that every nutcase and felon should be allowed one. It was implied to mean a regular citizen in good standing, who is allowed to have one under law. The shooter you reference was never cleared for gun possession, and shouldn't have had it, like so many of them. Just like all the criminals with guns. • @Brogan75 What I find hilarious is, Americans are SO quick to draw the line that gun restrictions to modernize those ammendments is some big ploy to remove the guns from the American people, but the concept of their government producing fake intelligence in Iraq in 2001 to start a war that has literally not stopped since then is absolutely BEYOND their reason.

Priceless, a country cherry picking their reasoning.

No government is 100% trustworthy and only fools think so. Maybe our own government needs to practice gun control on itself before coming after the citizens.

Your first step is to read the actual 2nd amendment word for word and do your best NOT to interpret it. Take it at face value. Then you need to realize the era in which it was written, before assault rifles and automatic weapons. Then you need to read some of our founding fathers comments on the Constitution: http://www.famguardian.org/Subjects/Politics/ThomasJefferson/jeff100 More..

Your rhetoric is directly from the democrat playbook of kneejerk reaction to tragedy. So is the use of name calling (we're stupid haters). Your statement is so typical, it is laughable.
Remember, if they start limiting one right, it is a slippery slope to whittling away at the others. History has a way of repeating itself.

  • Funny how leftist take certain parts of the constitution for granted. Imagine if the far right were in power and was trying to place harsh restrictions or a ban on abortions? All hell would be breaking loose! And Roe v Wade is just a law....not an amendment! There is a reason why the right to bear arms is the second amendment ....right after freedom of speech.

Opinions would probably not change but I think it would be far less likely to escalate to personal insults and the absurdity that goes along with that sort of dialogue.
